This work
was specially commissioned to form the centrepiece of an enclosed
courtyard in a private house. Just as the house surrounds the courtyard
so the sculpture lies at the heart of the home. A giant hand is spread
out to receive the water flowing from a huge seed kernel just as the
hand itself is contained by a similar kernel. On the other side water
flows from a kernel containing the beginnings of plant life into a
stone with fossilised leaf forms embedded in its surface.
