| TITLE: | Iochdar School Panels |

| The three
panels, commissioned for the entrance of Iochdar School on South Uist,
were the result of a collaborative project involving a poet, the School
art specialist and Tim Chalk. The panels feature poems in English
and Gaelic, written by children, working with the poet. They were
illustrated by castings of clay reliefs by children working withTim
Chalk and the Art specialist. All this material was collected and
combined into panels by Tim Chalk, incorporating castings from the
local beach and plantlife gathered by pupils. “.... The artwork is always a focus for us and as long as I live I will remember the significance of that and your own input too.” The Head Teacher, Iochdar School.
